+ | | Inspection of the Summerson S 4V (035-00036) in Chapman Twp. (North Bend), Clinton Co. conducted August 2, 2016 at 11:45 am. The well currently holds “DEP plugged” status. I spoke with the landowner to ask about the well. He said a rig came in to plug the well a few years ago. Casing was cut below ground level and covered after the job. He claimed that since the plugging, the ground has been rising in that spot. There was no way for me to tell but the grass in that area was dead in contrast to the rest of the yard. There was a straight line of dead grass in his yard and he believed a pipeline was buried there. I found additional straight lines of dead grass in the vicinity while walking around town. He didn’t know who operates the pipeline but thought it may be the Township, and didn’t know if it was active. | ||
