1202221208 2008-02-04 Checked well at request of ODNR supervisor Joe Hoerst regarding bond forfeiture order. The well is located behind a barn in a fenced in area. Two storage tanks are located near the well. The well has not been in operation for some time as noted by the tree growing next to the pumpjack. Property is being leased to Cheryl Burris (419-686-3991). Spoke to her daughter on site. No contamination or spill problems reported. Pictures taken.
1329420074 2012-01-18 At the time of my inspection the well and tank battery were located inside a fenced in area for farm animals. Landowner was unavailable to grant access to wellsite. I spoke with the farmer who will call back when he is around to allow for an inspection. I spoke with Doug Kitchen of Chieftan Energy. They have filed there production reports on the well but has not pumped the well since he purchased it in 2001 and is looking for a local producer to purchase well.
1403032893 2014-05-08 At the time of the inspection the well is incapable of production due to plant overgrowth and deterioration of the production equipment. Production records filed since 2003 have all shown no production. During a phone conversation after an inspection in 2012 with Doug Kitchen, he indicated they were attempting to sell the well. The well has yet to be transferred and remains incapable of production and should be plugged and abandoned. NONE
1823795428 2012-03-15 At the time of my inspection the well has not been produced in some time as indicated by the hole in the 2" tubing just above the casing slips and also the tree growing up through the pumping unit. I spoke with Doug Kitchen of Chieftain Energy who intends to sell or plug well by May. I updated GPS coordinates and took pictures of site.
