1378397436 2013-09-05 My inspection found the well not in production. The tank battery and well were completely overrun by weeds. The proper identification sign was posted; however, the emergency contact phone number did not work. The tank battery was shared with permit number 2-1142. I researched out database and found no production reported since 2009. The phone number listed in our database did not belong to the Briswell Company. I found a new contact phone number and called Briswell Company at 330-759-8005. Briswell claimed the well was shut-in and they were considering on either plugging the well or selling the well to the landowner. I told the Briswell Company that a compliance notice would be issued for non-production. Also, I informed Briswell that the tank battery was overrun by weeds. I gave Briswell until 10/4/2013 to produce, file for plugging permit, or file for temporary inactive status. I took photos of the well site.
1380894081 2013-10-04 My inspection found all of the weeds cut down in and around the tank battery. The tall grass was cut down from the tank battery to the pumping unit per my request. The dike meets containment requirements. The proper identification signs was posted on the production tank and the well. I spoke with Mr. Kondolean of Briswell at 330-759-8005. Mr. Kondolean the company was working on putting the well back into production; however, there was an issue with getting power to the pumping unit. I gave Briswell an extension to 11/18/2013 to place the well into production.
1759623309 2014-05-28 I was on location for a follow-up inspection in reference to compliance notice #1378397436. I found during my inspection that Briswell Co. had power run to the pumpjack. The weeds were all cut down in and around the dike. The proper identifications were posted on the production tank and well. I found no further violations.
