1352091701 2017-05-03 Production Wells No Violations On the day of my inspection I found that the well was equipped with an electric powered pumping unit. The motor and drive belts were intact and the electric was connected. The flow lines were connected at the wellhead and the valves were open. There was casing gas venting through a relief device at the wellhead. The production equipment consisted of one 100 barrels steel tank and one 50 barrel poly tank inside of an earthen dike. There was one vertical separator outside of the dike. Correct, legible identification was posted and I found no leaks or spills.
1516977212 2018-01-26 Production Wells No Violations On the day of my inspection I noticed a strong natural gas odor when I was driving east on US 36 past the entrance for this well. I went back to investigate and I found that there was a steady visible and audible flow of gas venting from a pop-off valve on the casing line. The valve was situated ahead of two domestic gas lines. The valves for the gas lines were both open. I called Rick Wray, but he did not answer. I left a voice message asking to reduce the gas flow or possibly setting up a flare stack. I also called the company number for James Wray Inc. but there was no answer. Ron Ringwalt called me back later in the day to say that he was up to the well and he didnt see an issue. He said that he only had 3 pounds of pressure on the well and he couldnt smell any gas. He blamed the odor on the heavy air this morning. He claimed that if he kept any more pressure on the well it wouldnt produce and if he put a flare stack up it wouldnt stay lit. I said that I would stop back by on my way home.
