0219509967 | 2014-05-01 | Production Wells | No Violations | Inspected production well on 05/01/2014. The tank battery consists of 1-100 bbl steel tank, 1-25 bbl steel tank, and a horizontal separator within an earthen dike. The diked area is located within an unlocked metal fence. Well identification is posted on the tank, but the API Number is not listed. Ed with the A. I. Root Company was notified of the identification issue, and will address it as soon as possible. The well is equipped with a pump jack within an electric motor located within a locked metal fence. No problems were noted at the time of the inspection. |
0263041054 | 2015-03-09 | Production Wells | No Violations | Inspected production well on 03/09/2015 to follow-up on previously issued compliance notice (plugging order issued for non-production). The tank battery consists of 1-100 bbl steel tank, 1-50 bbl steel tank, and 1-horizontal separator located within an earthen dike; the diked area is located within a locked metal fence. Well identification is posted at the tank battery, however it lacks a permit number. Ed Huff, production manager at A.I. Root Co., was notified of this issue during the inspection, and he will have it addressed promptly. The well is equipped with a pump jack with an electric motor. Research on RBDMS showed that production data has been filed through 2013. As the well is producing and proper production data has been filed, the well is back in compliance. |
0628552566 | 2013-01-02 | Production Wells | No Violations | I inspected this well and found one pump jack with electric motor on the wellhead. I could not determine the pressures on the tubing and casing due to the wellhead area being enclosed with a locked gate. No visible leaks were seen on the wellhead or adjacent piping. The area around the wellhead and pump jack was well maintained. The well was enclosed with a chain link barbed wire fence with a locked access gate. I did notice a very low hanging electrical wire that was coming from the electrical panel for the pump jack and leading out and over towards the tank battery. This wire was hanging approx. four feet from the ground. The tank battery contained one 100 bbl. steel oil storage tank, one 30 bbl. steel brine storage tank, one horizontal oil and gas separator unit with a chart recorder that was actively recording gas sales and a drip assembly. An identification sign was posted on the steel oil storage tank, but was missing the well permit number. No visible leaks were detected on the tanks or piping within the tank battery. The dike was in good shape and the area within and around the tank battery was well maintained. The tank battery was enclosed with a chain link barbed wire fence with an unlocked access gate. A search of the production records showed that no production report has been filed for the year 2011. I contacted the maintenance mgr. for A.I. Root Co., Ed Kuff, and advised him to either bury the low hanging electrical line or hang it higher off the ground. I also told him that he needed to put the permit number on the identification sign. He advised me that he will put the permit number on the sign tomorrow, but due to the excessive amount of snow by the well he will probably have to wait until the weather gets better to repair the low hanging wire. Until then, he will place bright colored ribbon on the wire to make it easily seen. I also reminded him to file the well production report for year 2011. |
0966175411 | 2015-06-24 | Production Wells | No Violations | Inspected production well on 06/24/2015. The tank battery consists of 1-100 bbl steel tank, 1-25 bbl steel tank, and 1-horizontal separator located within an earthen dike. The diked area is located within a locked metal fence. Well identification is posted at the tank battery. The well is equipped with a pump jack with an electric motor located within a locked metal fence. No problems were noted at the time of the inspection. |
