0483679095 2018-08-22 UrbanProduction Wells No Violations As a follow up to Compliance Notice # 1198394453 I re-inspected the Jenks # 1. I found that the leaking 100 barrel tank was removed and the area of contamination was removed and replaced with fresh material. The violations were corrected.
1198394453 2018-08-15 UrbanProduction Wells Violations Noted Access was gained to the tank battery on a gated gravel path from Twinsburg Road. The wellhead was 200 southwest of the tank battery in a field. The well was surrounded with a locked chain link fence. The wellhead was configured to operate as a 4.5 casing plunger lift well. The well was shut in awaiting maintenance for a salt issue downhole. I did not identify any violations with the wellhead. The tank battery was surrounded with a locked chain link fence and earthen dike. One (1) 100 barrel stock tank, one (1) 50 barrel brine tank and one (1) vertical separator with orifice meter comprised the tank battery. The was not a current paper chart on the meter. An I. D. sign was posted on the 50 barrel brine tank. The three (3) inch oil load line, extending through the fence, was plugged. I found that the two (2) inch brine line had rotted off causing contamination of dry oil covering an area of five (5) feet X three (3) feet. I spoke with Jeff Moore ( Moore Well Services, 330.352.2162 ) to inform him of the situation who said, they would steam, remove the offending tank and contamination immediately and produce into the 50 barrel tank.. I requested to be contacted when the remediation takes place to assess compliance. In order to bring the Jenks # 1 into compliance with OAC 1501:9-1-07 ( Prevention of Contamination and Pollution ) the Owner shall steam and remove the 100 barrel stock, remove and replace contaminated tank pad base. Please contact Bob Roush ( 330.690.8837) for a re-inspection to assess the level of compliance with OAC 1501:9-1-07.
