1472581533 2016-07-29 UrbanProduction Wells No Violations Follow-up to complaint #5382 concerning possible impacts to a water well caused by this production well. I inspected this well location and found the wellhead equipped and operating with an electric powered pumping unit. The unit was fenced and locked, and the proper ID was posted at the wellhead. The tank battery was diked, fenced and secured. The battery consisted of two (2) 100 barrel tanks and a horizontal separator. The flow line riser entered the tank battery on the north side of containment and the hole around the riser was full of water. I ran a low level Quantab to test the water in the hole and found chlorides ranging between 432-463ppm (6.6-6.8 on the test strip). I found no scalding of the grass away from this area. The production tank on the south end of the battery appears to have been replaced in the recent past due to it only being coated in primer and not painted green like the other tank. I checked the Summit County aerial photos and found that the southern tank was green in 2012. The next set of photos from 2015 show the current tank that is only coated with primer. I will pass on my findings to Summit County Inspector Bob Roush for follow-up with Sound Energy.
1783727666 2016-08-31 UrbanProduction Wells No Violations DOGRMs Uniontown office was contacted regarding a natural gas leak at the Reljin # 1 well. I inspected the well as a follow up to Inspector Dinsmore initial inspection. Access is gained from Berry Rd. on a gravelled driveway. The well is operated as a electric pumping well. The well was secured with a locked chain link fence topped with barbed wire. The well was identified with a legible I.D. sign. The well was operating during my inspection and I did not identify any releases of natural gas and / or fluids from the well head. The tank battery was located approximately 75 south of the well head. The tank battery was secured with a locked chain link fence topped with barbed wire. An earthen dike surrounded the tank battery. The tank battery was identified with a legible I.D. sign. The tank battery was comprised of two (2) 100 barrel tanks, a horizontal separator with a orifice gas meter. The meter had a current measurement chart hung on it. The load lines had flat plugs tightened in the valves. No leaks were identified in the tank battery. I located a natural gas leak in the sales line positioned between the well head and tank battery. The leak was apparent due the rain water gathered in a previous excavation. I tested the water in the hole with a low range QuanTab strip for Chlorides. The test strips Chloride level was ~ 256 ppm. The pH was five (5). I contacted the Operator and spoke with Bruce Levengood concerning the leak. The contract well tender ( Bob Allen ) was dispatched to the location. I met Mr. Allen, on location, to view the leak. Mr. Allen conferred with Operator and informed me that a Contractor would be on location within a few days. I requested that that power be disconnected to the pumping unit and the well valves be shut in until repairs were completed.
