The 2" annulus ports on both sides of the well casing were open but have had some kind of spray insulation type material sprayed into them to close off both sides of the annulus. I contacted field foreman Ron Barnett of APC by phone to discuss the status of this well. Ron informed me that the former Exco well tender had sprayed the foam insulation into both of the 2" annulus ports on each side of the well casing at ground level to stop the annulus from venting gas because the landowner had been upset with the annulus venting gas at ground level and had lit the annulus on fire. And the 4 1/2" well production casing had been opened up to the atmosphere through the 1" x 11' vent pipe 2 1/2 to 3 years ago and this well has been venting directly to the atmosphere during that entire time.
