Operator representative AJ Smith (Production Foreman) contacted the Department by phone. Per Mr. Smith: There is oil on the brine tank, but the source is unknown; it might possibly be from an outside source. The stained gravel will be excavated and disposed of properly. The oil did not travel underneath the tank and was a very minimal amount that reached the gravel. The site will be monitored to in order to prevent a similar occurrence from occurring. |
