Brine tanks located onsite and appeared to be in sound condition. Observed no accelerated erosion & sedimentation in relation to the access road or well-site at the time of the inspection. Observed that the site had not been restored. Specifically the site had not been regraded, seeded, or mulched. Section 206(c) of the Oil & Gas Act states that "within nine months after completion of drilling any well, the owner/operator shall restore the well site." At this time the Department is requesting that the operator forward documentation no later than August 3, 2009 showing when site restoration activities are scheduled to begin and/or be completed.
2188766 Primary Facility 2013-07-30 Incident- Response to Accident or Event Violation(s) Noted Inspection the result of a spill reported to Department on 7/29/2013 at 7:30am. The Operator indicated that the spill consist of approximately 1/2 barrel of production water spilled into the dyke surrounding the brine tanks located on site. At the time of inspection the Department observed the Operator in the process of removing the contaminated material inside the dyked area surrounding the brine tanks. The Operator indicated that the spill originated from small corroded spot on the brine tank. The Department observed what appeared to be a pin hole which appeared to be the cause of the spill. The contaminated area appeared to be approximately 10'x10' and 1' deep. The Department suggests the Operator repair the brine tank and supply the Department with documentation verifying clean up and disposal records of the affected material. The Department notes that the spill in in compliance with the Departments spill policy.
