Well ID sign, ES plan onsite. Well tag present. Site gated and locked. Well drilled not yet in production. Access road and entrance adequately rocked. Soil pile seeded/mulched. Slopes secured with erosion blankets exhibiting growth. BMPs installed according to plan.no accelerated erosion or sedimentation issues noted. Although red staining near soil pile and near toe slope of pad is observed-again this was attributed to decomposition of mulch/ tress used during pad construction. While on site all parties noted that soil near sediment trap appears discolored with a ¿red/black¿ hue and the liquid contents of sediment trap appear dark in nature as well- it is also observed that large quantity of leaves present in trap. Operator plans to investigate/sample discoloration of both the soil and liquid fraction from near sed trap. 10-20-11: Bases on site inspection and review of operator results it does not appear discoloration is due to spill or release.
