2650825 | Primary Facility | 2017-10-23 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | Routine inspection of a plugged well. The well has a 2" vent pipe 6' above ground level, tee'd at the top with one side of the tee isolated with tape. I could smell gas venting and checked the vent with an Altair 5x gas meter-- 100% gas detected. I placed my hand over the vent and did not feel any significant pressure. I attached a 0-160 PSI analog pressure gauge on the vent and monitored for several minutes. No pressure buildup noted on the gauge. I attached one side of a u-tube manometer to the vent and monitored for several minutes. There was no significant fluid differential in the u-tube observed. No gas was detected outside of the vent pipe at ground level. Well Record and Certificate of Plugging are on file. |
