Department observed an active leak of fluid dripping from production equipment piping (photo #1). This fluid has collected on the ground and created a 2'X5' wet area of limited vegetation (photo #2). A sheen is observed on this ground fluid. Department contacted operator by phone from site. Operator rep Doug Wadsworth arrived on site within minutes. Mr. Wadsworth placed a bucket under piping and closed valve to stop flow. Mr. Wadsworth stated pipe would be replaced today. Update 11:50: Mr. Wadsworth spoke with Department by phone stating leaking pipe has been fixed. A violation is being issued for failure to collect brine or other production fluids. A follow up inspection will be conducted at a later date to ensure site has been properly remediated.

NOV was returned to Department by USPS as Not Deliverable as Addressed. Department recommends operator submit updated contact information to Department. The NOV is being re-mailed on 5-31-18.

Operator rep Michael Bucheit contacted Department by phone. Mr. Bucheit requested clarification on what is required in the operator response to the NOV. Department addressed Mr. Bucheit's questions and concerns.
