Well Completion Report submitted to the DEP. Reviewing the completion report, well meets the criteria for requirements of 78.81-78.86 (relating to casing and cementing). Well head consisted of 95/8¿, 7¿ and 4.5¿ casing reduced to 2¿. At the 4.5¿ to 2¿ swedge, a substantial amount of gas was leaking from the threaded connection. Leak area was starting to build up of ice. Strong gas odors were noted throughout the site pad. According to Penneco, well head pressure is roughly 900 psi with line pressure of 100 psi. Production equipment consisted of heater, separator and 100 bbl brine tank (< 20 bbl fluid). At the time of inspection, no E&S and IW issues at the site. DEP requested that Penneco repair the leak due to public health and safety concerns under 78.74 regulations.
