No accelerated erosion or sedimentation observed on well site or access road. The Department observed a release of production fluid from the brine tank to the ground. The affected area appeared to be localized to the immediate area around the brine tank.
2601303 Primary Facility 2017-06-06 Follow-up Inspection Outstanding Violations - Viols Req'd Compliance evaluation in response to violations issued on 4/11/2017. At the time of inspection the well was drilled and equipped for production. Well tagged. No accelerated erosion or sedimentation observed on well site or access road. The Department observed a disturbed area that has recently been seeded and stabilized with straw to prevent accelerated erosion and sedimentation. The Department also observed what appears to be the impacted soil stored under a plastic tarp located on site. The Department recommends that the impacted soil be disposed of in accordance with with current waste regulation and copies the disposal manifests submitted to the attention of WQS Steingrabe. Once the impacted soil has been disposed of the Department recommends the seed and stabilized the area to prevent accelerated erosion and sedimentation.
2637510 Primary Facility 2017-09-19 Follow-up Inspection Outstanding Violations - Viols Req'd At the time of inspection the impacted soil remains on site. The Department contacted the Operator and third party consultant approximately two weeks prior to discuss the clean up and disposal of impacted soil located on site. The Operator and consultant indicated that the impacted soil would be removed prior to 9/10/2017. The Operator and contractor indicated that the soil has been approved for disposal. The impacted soil has not been removed. The impacted soil is covered with plastic. The area that was impacted appeared to be revegetated. No observation of accelerated erosion or sedimentation in relation to the well pad or access road. The Department recommends the Operator submit the information request by the Department on 4/11/2017 and include a timeline for the removal of the impacted soil.
2705753 Primary Facility 2018-03-08 Follow-up Inspection Outstanding Violations - Viols Req'd Follow up inspection to violations issues on 4/11/2017, see inspection # 2581560. At the time of inspection, the soil impacted by a release of production fluid was still located on site. The impacted soil was covered with black plastic. The Department contacted Operator representative Brad Little to discuss the removal and proper disposal of the impacted soil. The Mr. Little indicated that the soil remains on site due to adverse weather conditions. The Department request that the Mr. Little provide a written explanation via email.
