Two brine tanks located on site, within earthen dike. At the time of inspection brine tanks appears to structurally compromised due to rusting as indicated by the presence of holes, located on the upper half of tank. Holes varying in size with the largest approximately the size of a quarter. No active leaking observed. Department called left message with answering service requesting Operator contact Department in regards to above findings and to recommend Operator correct this issue in order to prevent a potential pollution event. Site stable with no E&S issues in relation to site and/or access road. Department will conduct a follow-up inspection.

UPDATE On 8/10/16 @ 14:30 Department spoke with Operator (Doug Byers) and notified of inspection findings and recommended Operator address concerns. Department will conduct a follow-up inspection.

2517534 Primary Facility 2016-09-07 Routine/Partial Inspection No Violations Noted Inspection performed as a follow-up to inspection ID 2509272 dated 8/9/16. Department met with Operator on site to address structural integrity concerns of the brine tanks. Operator stated that all production fluids will be plumbed into tank 5H that is structurally sound and the tank will be repainted. Tank 5H will be the primary tank for production fluid collection. Other three tanks that are structurally compromised due to rusting will be drained of any remaining fluids and remain plumbed.
