The complaint consist of soap bubbles floating through the air approximately 1000' from the well pad area. The Operator indicated that additional defoamer was added to the drill pit to prevent the bubbles from blowing out of the pit during period of high wind. The Erosion and Sedimentation Plan was on site. No accelerated erosion or sedimentation observed in relation to the access road or well pad area. The perimeter E&S BMPs appear to properly installed and functioning properly. Various pits located on site appear to be in sound condition and have the required 2' of freeboard. The Department suggests the Operator continue to monitor the site weekly and after significant precipitation events to ensure the stability of the site in maintained.
