While driving up the access road to the well pad, I observed an area where black fluid resembling drilling mud appeared to have been spilled onto the ground. It was evident that the black fluid migrated downhill approximately 200 feet in the drainage ditch of the access road. I took several pictures of the spill, and notified Alta of the incident. At approximately 2:00, I met with Joe Hill of Alta at the site and identified the area of concern to him. He indicated he was not aware of the spilled fluid or how the incident occurred. Mr. Hill stated that he would have his contractor on site start scraping up the impacted soils immediately and would collect pre and post remediation soil samples. | 580629 |
