| The well consists of a 3-bolt wellhead cap with a 3/4-inch vent line. The well is located in a masonry vault under the back stairs of the residence. The well was discovered during renovations being performed on the house, which include an addition. The vault is adjacent to the southeast corner of the house, and the wellhead is 18 inches from the house. The vent line is attached to the side of the house and run vertically to the roofline. There is a small hole in the vent line near the ground surface, and gas is detectable near the hole. Otherwise, the wellhead appears intact and no leaks are visible. Ron Gibson has been contracted by the homeowner to evaluate the well for plugging. | | The well consists of a 3-bolt wellhead cap with a 3/4-inch vent line. + | | I inspected this former well location as part of the process for plugging and abandonment. The well was plugged and abandoned on 6/12/2013. At the time of this inspection, the former area of the well has been incorporated into a newly-constructed addition to the house. No evidence of the plugging activity remains. No further activity needed. Final restoration is complete. | ||
