| Follow up to CA #898598993: On the day of my inspection I found that the contaminated soil at the base of the storage tank had not been cleaned up. I also found that no identification had been posted at the wellhead or tank battery. Nothing has been done to bring this well into compliance. | | Follow up to CA #898598993: On the day of my inspection I found that the contaminated soil at the base of the storage tank had not been cleaned up. | On the day of my inspection I found that the well was equipped with a pumping unit that showed evidence of recent use. The polished rod was clean and lubricated, the valves were open and there was approximately 6 psi on the casing. The stuffing box was leaking. The tank battery consisted of three 100 barrel tanks and one separator. The tanks were rusted and overgrown with small trees. There was no dike around the tanks and there was an area of contaminated soil approximately 3 feet in diameter where the tank has been overflowed. The identification sign was blank and there was no identification at the well head. This well shares a tank battery with permit 3795. The contaminated soil must be removed from the location and correct identification must be posted at the well head and tank battery. The ID sign will include company name, lease name, permit number, county, township and current emergency contact phone number. | | On the day of my inspection I found that the well was equipped with a pumping unit that showed evidence of recent use.
