| An inspection of this well was conducted in response to an alleged water disruption within the area.  During the inspection, it was noted that the well and tank battery were situated on a location designated as a pasture field.  The well was equipped with a pumping unit and showed signs of recent production (i.e. Polish Rod).  The shared tank battery with Permit No. 1525 consisted of (1) 100 bbl tank with no knockout tank and surrounded by an earthen dike.  Below the earthen dike, an area the size of approximately 50' x 10' - 20' contained stressed vegetation.  The soil was field tested with distilled water and High Range Quantabs.  The quantabs showed 7.2 units, which equals 2839 ppm (mg/L) Cl-.  At time of inspection, there were no visual leaks from the steel 100 bbl tank.  The front section of earthen dike wall had eroded and could allow for the release of fluid.  No identification was observed at the well or tank. GPS readings were obtained for the well and tank locations.  The well owner was verbally informed of inspection results and all contaminated soils would be removed from the location.
