Inspector Claus contacted Bill Arnholt of Northwood Energy (614-457-1024) and informed him of the complaint. 5-1-2002; Inspector Claus inspected the site and found the 2 drums and the crude release next to the meter run and drip tank. The tank battery and wellhead were also inspected. It appears that the stock tanks are being repaired or replaced. The soil and stone around the stock tanks and separator are coated with old crude. Recommendations: Remove the 2-55 gal. drums and clean up the crude spillage. Also, clean up the crude coated soil and stone within the tank battery. Also, the permit number on the I.D. sign is 3080, ODNR database identifies the permit number as 3086. Please correct your I.D. signs. This is a high profile area with City of Akron Water Division Restricted Area posted signs. Inspector Claus informed Bill Arnholt (Northwood Energy) and Chief Ranger Ebie (City of Akron Water Supply) of the inspection findings and recommendations. A NOTICE OF VIOLATION was issued. 9-1-07
