| 1366915313 | 2013-04-25 | I inspected this well and found an old wellhead that was originally producing open flow through the 3 in. casing. At this time, the well is shut in and disconnected from the flow line. I detected a slight smell of natural gas around the wellhead so I tested the area with the Sperion PhD gas meter. I obtained readings of 0% LEL and 0% CH4. The wellhead and adjacent piping were very rusty and most of the paint has peeled away. There was a large drip tank located approx. 20 ft. from the wellhead and it too was rusty and paint peeled. There was an old well identification sign posted at the wellhead, but it showed the owner as Diversified Resources when it should be M & R Investments and no other information was on the sign. The area around the well was not maintained and there was an excessive amount of high weed growth around the wellhead. A search of the production records for this well shows that no production has been reported or several years. There is no tank battery associated with this well. This inspection was performed as a follow up to a previous NOV and was requested by Tom Hill of the Uniontown Office. | ||||
