Below grade pit was located onsite and had more than the two feet of required freeboard. Observed that the filter fabric & hay bale BMP should be restablished to insure that it remains functional. In addition the diversion ditch located on the upper side of the well-site should be stabilized with a BMP )i.e. rock, erosion control matting) so as to minimize sediment generation & transport off-site.
At this time the Department is requesting that the operator submit documentation no later than 07/02/09 showing that these issues have been addressed.
