Tree removal was complete at the time of inspection, and excavation was in progress. Silt fences were installed to the north and east of the pad, and the pits were not yet constructed. Employing a concentric drilling method the 20 conductor casing was previously set at 115 G.L. I received notification that while drilling underneath the 20 conductor at approximately 420 the drilling fluid began to circulate to the cellar outside of the 20 casing. I arrived on location at 3:30 am to discuss remedial cementing procedures with James Stephens ( Enervest ) . The plan was to perform a balanced squeeze job on the casing seat which would have the cement slurry displace the drilling fluid and re-establish the casing seat. Schlumberger mixed a cement slurry ( 200 sacks of Class A blended with 3% CaCl2) and pumped it through drill pipe from approximately 50 to 150. The cement was placed at 8:00 am and a 12 hour wait on cement time was given due to low bottom hole temperature. Fluid was observed filling the cellar as the cement slurry displaced the fluid in the microannulus. No violations identified during this inspection. |
