Operator has TD surface hole at 400, can not run surface pipe at this time, three joints down, keep getting stuck, operator stated that they have been in and out of the hole three times. Operator is pulling surface pipe out of the hole at the time of inspection. Permit is in the dog house.
1220361502 2008-08-29 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations No one on site at the time of inspection. Drill rig mast has broken in half. Top half of the mast is in the work pit. Called Cy Brennan from North Coast Energy Inc. Rig broke down last night between 8:00pm and 8:30 pm, North Coast Energy didnt find out until about accident until 8:30am 08/29/2008.
1220539462 2008-08-28 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations Rig dill depth 2200 Lease road is stable. Permit posted in the dog house. Picked up Surface and CND paper work. Spoke to daylight drilled, the surface cement went well, the cement has fallen. BOP had a lot of movement, operator had the BOP chained down. Operator was repairing the blow line during inspection, blow line was leaking at the BOP. The day light driller thought that it may have come lose, from the movement of the BOP. I suggested to the driller when they add a Kelly they may want to shim the surface hole to try and stop vibration. Driller said that they would tighten the chains. Surface hole will need to be grouted from the top during long string or bag cement brought on site and worked in between CND and surface. Pits were in good repair. Operator was drilling on air.

Operator has placed safety fence around site. Insurance adjuster will be on site Tuesday, operator will be bringing a crane on site to pull rig off. Spoke to operator regarding hole, they will bring another rig on site to remove drill string and finish hole.
