1298401670 2011-02-18 Production Wells No Violations Received a call from OEPA-DERR office in Columbus with a landowner complaint at 7807 SR 303, Freedom Township, Portage County. The complaintant, Tony Aloi, reported the release of oilfield brine and waste into the drain tile on this property. According to the Enervest pumper, he (the pumper) was at the site earlier in the day and had opened the dike drain to release snow melt that had accumulated inside of the dike. A small amount of oil (approximtely 2 gallons) had also been released when a separator pop-off failed. The oil was confined to the north end of the containment dike adjacent to the separator and had not impacted the standing water at all. The oil was being recovered with sorbent pads and peatsorb. When I arrived, the drain valve was closed and Enervest had a vac-truck enroute to the site to recover the water from inside the dike area and to empty the concrete vault. They also intend to permanently remove the dike drain. Until that can be arranged, the valve on the drain will remain locked. High range Quantab analysis of the water being released from the dike indicated a chloride content of 472 ppm. Reggie Brown and Wade Balser with OEPA-DERR were on site when I arrived. They had no concerns with what had happened and did not plan to initiate any investigation.
1695416698 2018-06-06 Production Wells No Violations Status check inspection of this Clinton Sandstone well. My inspection found the wellhead equipped with 2.375 rods and tubing and operating with the aid of an electric powered pumping unit. The wellhead is fenced and diked and a Murphy Switch gauge indicates a pressure of 90psi on the tubing. The tank battery for this well is located on the north side of State Route 303, 0.3 miles east of Slagle Road and was not inspected at this time. The required ID is posted at the wellhead. No violations..
