2110917699 2017-01-19 UrbanProduction Wells No Violations I conducted a status check inspection of this Clinton Sandstone well. My inspection today found the wellhead equipped and operating with the aid of a 2 plunger lift system. The tubing flow line is equipped with a motor valve and logic controls. The wellhead is fenced and the man door is broken and not locked. The required ID is posted at the wellhead. This well produces to a diked tank battery to the northwest containing one (1) 100 barrel tank and a horizontal separator having the access doors open. This battery is shared by the City of Aurora #2 (PN# 22887). There is a domestic meter plumbed in at the separator and is equipped with a 1 steel line. The tank battery is fenced and the access gate is not locked. There is no ID posted at the tank battery as required and the riser pipe for the secondary containment drain has been left on the ground and the drain has been left open. Also, a large, dead tree has damaged the safety fencing and is hanging in 5-6 the air across the northwest and southern side of the battery. I spoke with Mark Crookham (Enervest) and explained to him that due to the location (urban) of the tank battery and wellhead along and near the various hiking trails in the park, the access gates need to be securely locked to prevent the general public from access and for general safety. I asked him to post the required ID signage indicating the wells that are producing to this location and that the dead tree needs to be removed from the fencing. I also explained to him that the drain pipe must remain closed at all times when no company personnel are present. He said he would take care of the issues within the next week. I will follow-up later to see if the safety and other issues have been addressed.
