2784137 | Primary Facility | 2018-10-03 | Routine/Partial Inspection | Violation(s) Noted | At approximately 1105 I met with Tony Savitski of Chesapeake on the Morse pad. He informed me of a release of produced water on the Janet pad in Monroe Township, Bradford County that was discovered that morning. He estimated that approximately 5 or 6 gallons had leaked from a hole in an elbow joint of the dump line that leads from the GPU to the produced water tanks. He relayed that they had excavated some of the gravel on the pad around the leak and took conductivity readings during the excavation. He said that the readings were continually decreasing as they excavated. He also stated that they had a vacuum truck on location which was removing the water that was continually flowing into the excavated pit. He stated that after the water is finally removed, confirmatory samples would be taken and sent to a laboratory for analysis. He also stated the wells on this pad were currently shut-in.
I arrived on the Janet pad at approximately 1150. A portion of the pad between the GPUs and the produced water tanks h |
