Inspection Data

Inspections Performed

Inspection ID Inspection Category Inspection Date Inspection Type Inspection Result Inspection Comments
2122141 Primary Facility 2012-12-03 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Wells in production. Cellar filled with water/no visible bubbling. 2 treaters, 2 condensate tanks onsite.
2203355 Primary Facility 2013-09-04 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted
2477567 Primary Facility 2016-04-18 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted
2592747 Primary Facility 2017-05-11 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted On May 11, 2017, at 1020 hrs., the Department conducted a routine inspection at the Chesapeake Appalachia LLC, Towner Location in Rome Township, Bradford County. Andrew Hobbins, Water Quality Specialist, represented the Department. Chesapeake and Evergreen Oilfield Solutions representatives were working to remove the compressor that was on site.

The E & S plan, site sign and weekly inspection logs were on site. The slopes of the pad were well vegetated. No erosion issues were observed.

Two wells were in the production phase during the inspection. Two GPUs and two production tanks were also on site. Liquid within the secondary containment of the GPU was low in specific conductivity, but was occupying approximately half the containment capacity. The Department recommends removing the liquid from the containment. There was no staining on the well pad surface. All puddles were low in specific conductivity.

The well pad has not been reduced in size, but PCSM has been addressed at the site.

No

2645904 Primary Facility 2017-10-11 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Annulus vents vented to production tanks on location.
2685179 Primary Facility 2018-01-18 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted On January 18, 2018, the Department conducted a routine inspection at the Chesapeake Appalachia LLC, Towner Location in Rome Township, Bradford County. Andrew Hobbins represented the Department. Nobody was present for Chesapeake.

The site sign, E & S plan and weekly inspection logs were on site and available for review. The site was covered in several inches of snow. PCSM has been addressed at the site, but the pad has not been reduced in size. All temporary E & S controls have been removed.

Two wells were in production during the inspection. The wells were labeled and no bubbling was observed in the well cellar. Two production tanks and two GPUs were also on site. No staining was observed on the well pad surface. All puddles were frozen, so no conductivity readings were taken.

No violations were observed

2695632 Primary Facility 2018-02-20 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Warm/cloudy at time of inspection.

No annulus vents due to vented to production tanks on location.

2785498 Primary Facility 2018-10-05 Site Restoration No Violations Noted NOT approval.

I took electrical conductivity readings with an Oakton PCSTestr 35. A puddle on the pad surface was 0.23 mS/cm today. 3 ESSI workers were on site during my inspection. JLP
