2627760 Primary Facility 2017-08-02 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted On August 2, 2017, the Department conducted a routine inspection at the Chesapeake Appalachia LLC, Champluvier Location in Tuscarora Township, Bradford County. Andrew Hobbins, Water Quality Specialist, represented the Department. Nobody was present for the Chesapeake.

The site sign, E & S plan and weekly inspection logs were on site and available for review. The site was well vegetated. The cut slope was a sheer rock cliff. PCSM has not been addressed at the site.

There were two wells in production on the well pad. The wells were labeled and no bubbling was observed in the well cellar. Two production tanks were in secondary containment. Two GPUs were also on site. Puddles on the pad surface were low in specific conductivity. No staining was observed on the pad.

The well pad has not been reduced in size and PCSM has not been addressed at the site. The Department recommends reducing the pad to approximate original contours, or re-permitting the site and addressing PCSM. No violations were obs

2787890 Primary Facility 2018-10-05 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Arrived onsite for routine inspection. The site was well vegetated and no E&S issues were observed.

There are 2 properly tagged Marcellus wells staged for production. There are also 2 GPUs and 2 produced water tanks onsite and in secondary containment. The bottoms of the produced water tanks had corrosion present (Photos #3, 4).

At the time of inspection no PCSM was evident. An email was sent to Eric Haskins for clarification. Eric responded on 10/11/18 and indicated that PCSM for this site has not been addressed or designed. Chesapeake is currently adding PCSM to several sites that need to have it addressed.

No violations noted.
