2618386 Primary Facility 2017-07-21 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted On July 21, 2017, the Department conducted a routine inspection at the Chesapeake Appalachia LLC (Chesapeake), Linski Location in Tuscarora Township, Bradford County. Andrew Hobbins, Water Quality Specialist, represented the Department. Nobody was present for Chesapeake.

The site sign, E & S plan and weekly inspection logs were on site and available for review. The site was stabilized with rock and vegetation. Two infiltration berms were recently installed and temporarily stabilized with mulch. Compost filter sock was installed down gradient from the infiltration berms. No erosion issues were observed.

Two wells were observed in production during the inspection. The wells were labeled and no bubbling was observed in the well cellars. Stormwater was observed to be overflowing the cellars. The Department recommends removing the stormwater from the well cellars and properly disposing of water. Puddles on the pad surface and water within secondary containment was low in specific conductivity. N

2746531 Primary Facility 2018-06-28 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Two wells staged for production phase. Two each sand and water separators. No leaks detected from production equipment. No violations noted.
2829692 Primary Facility 2019-01-17 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Chesapeake Appalachia submitted a Well Site Restoration Report (WSRR) for the Linski pad. The WSRR was received by the Department on 1/14/19. Arrived onsite at 10:02; the weather was ~20°F and calm.

There were 2 properly tagged Marcellus wells staged for production. A total of 3 cellars were onsite and filled with ice. There were 2 GPUs, sand separators, and produced water tanks onsite and in secondary containment.

The site was mainly steep rock-lined slopes including the containment berm around the pad. There were 2 infiltration areas constructed. These areas were greater than 70% vegetative cover. No E&S issues were noted and the site appeared to be stable.

The Department recommends acknowledging the WSRR.

No violations noted.
