Inspection Data

Inspections Performed

Inspection ID Inspection Category Inspection Date Inspection Type Inspection Result Inspection Comments
1830142 Primary Facility 2009-09-18 Drilling/Alteration No Violations Noted At time of inspection, I met with Company Man Dorsey Rogers. The drilling rig on site is Nomac Rig 112. Mr. Rogers indicated that drilling depth was currently at 8487. TD is anticipated to be approximately 13,000'. Mr Rogers indicated that at approximately 6772, water was encountered downhole which created an underbalanced situation causing a gas kick to occur. The kick was immediately controlled. At the time of inspection, gas was being flared. No spills of any drilling fluid was reported as a result of the gas kick. Mr. Rogers stated that they were currently adding a 13.4 wt. mud downhole to control the gas pressure and eventually kill the flare. Freeboard in reserve pit was approximately 3¿ and the liner appeared to be in good condition. The site appeared clean and free of spilled drilling fluids.
