In addition culverts are ineffective as BMP's during well development and should be used in final restoration. 3) Additional BMP's should be shown & installed on the access road approaching the well-site. 4) The Department reccomends that the operator rock the access approaching the culverted stream crossing on either side to insure the stability of the road and the minimization of erosion & sedimentation. 5) Due to the slope & proximity of the site to the UNT the filter fabric fence should be backed with hay bales. | |
