The pit that is half completed on site does contain water and groundwater is a concern. The pit/impoundments need to be constructed 20 inches above the seasonal high groundwater table. The Department may want to observe the pit that is being used at this time to hold cuttings after the liner is removed to be sure groundwater was not impacted. | |
