1177503258	2007-04-05	Orphan	Violations Noted	Met Marilyn Kuenning, and George Wiss who showed me this well location from the Mark Kuenning property. Field use will be agricultural, and I walked to rise or hump where oil and gas well used to be. New landowner Thomas Schmitmeyer purchased this acreage July 25 2006. This well disappeared while Mr. Schmitmeyer was working on property. GPS location and took 3 digital photos. Neighbors and previous farmer for this property will testify that well was there before Schmitmeyer started working on property. This was originaly turned in by the Auglaize Emergency management Director Troy Anderson. Two to three old wells on North side of Schmitmeyer property near canal that were water wells( possibly old oil and gas wells converted to water wells) have also disappeared. Concerns are for 4 water wells nearby that supply approximately 10,000 public customers in the St. Marys area. Concerns for contamination of water aquifer as result of improperly plugged and abandoned oil and gas wells.
1202397836	2008-02-07	Administrative Inspection	No Violations	Well and water well was plugged by Bob Huwer on 02-04-08, witnessed by Sam Faust. This date I called Troy Anderson of the Auglaize County Emergency response and advised him that well plugged at landowners expense and we are looking at other casings that have water flow on this property to determine if they are water wells or oil and gas wells. If OG wells they will qualify for the I&O program.
