0311891708 | 2016-11-18 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that Brilex was not swabbing. I called Frank Riggle and he said that they were out yesterday to swab for a couple hours. He said that they swabbed 11 barrels of fresh water back out of the well, and they would be out again later today to swab some more. |

1389976589 | 2014-01-17 | Administrative Inspection | No Violations | FOLLOW UP TO CA # 836494051: This inspection relates to complaint #3747. I received a call from LLP Oil & Gas to inform me that they are putting together a multiple well plugging package to include this well. They have a plugging permit that is valid till 5/31/15. |
1460259978 | 2016-10-11 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the well was equipped with a plunger lift system. The flow line was connected to the tubing. There were no flow lines connected to the casing. The Demco valve on the tubing was open. The wellhead was buried in thick vegetation. There were no signs of recent access to the wellhead. The tank battery was also set among thick vegetation and small trees. It consisted of one 50 barrel steel tank and one horizontal separator. The equipment heavily rusted. The chart box was empty. There was no identification posted at the wellhead or tank battery. There were three new valves on the flow lines at the separator and the valves were open. There has been no production reported on this well since 2013. I called Frank Riggle of Brilex. He agreed to meet me at the well next week. |
1476890070 | 2016-10-19 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I met with Frank Riggle and Rob Hunter of Brilex and took them back to the well. They claimed that when they acquired all of the production from LLP they found close to 90 idle wells, and they were working to address them all. They had never even been to this well and claimed to be unaware of the pending complaint and compliance notice. We drove back to the tank battery site. I walked them back into the tree line where the well was located. They stated their intentions of bringing a rig in to service the well, and claimed they would get started immediately. They did ask for a 90 day extension to account for any unforeseen problems. I agreed to the extension. |
1478787870 | 2016-11-10 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that Frank Riggle and Rob Hunter of Brilex were at the site working to make the well capable of production. The well was treated with fresh water to dissolve suspected salt build up and free the plunger. Frank went in and swabbed approximately 1000 feet of fluid from the well. Then he went in with a fishing tool, and he was able to retrieve the plunger. He went back in and got ahold of something else. Frank suspected that there might be another plunger in the well, or a standing valve. He was able to jar it loose with the fishing tools, but it was pulling hard. He decided to treat the well with another 55 barrels of fresh water and shut it in until next week. They have swabbed a total of 36 barrels of fluid from the well throughout the course of the job. Frank had the fluid hauled and claimed that it amounted to 21 barrels of oil and 15 barrels of salt water. |
1904841297 | 2016-11-02 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that Frank Riggle and Rob Hunter of Brilex were at the well site, and their swab rig was rigged up on the well. They had just finished swabbing and were shutting the well in. Frank reported that they swabbed approximately 1400 feet of fluid out of the production casing. The ratio of oil to water was unknown. There was no more fluid coming into the well once the initial fluid was swabbed off, and they were not able to fish the plunger out of the well. Frank and Rob suspected that there was a build-up of salt that was holding the plunger in, and preventing any more fluid from entering the casing. They were bringing out 500 gallons of fresh water to dump down the well and shut it in until the following week. All of the brush and trees had been cleared from around the well and the tank battery. The 50 barrel tank and separator had been painted, and Rob said that he had an identification sign to go up as soon as the paint was dry. |
1966210943 | 2017-05-08 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I met with Brilex partner Rob Hunter at the well site. The brush had all ben cleared from around the wellhead and the production equipment. The 50 barrel tank and separator had been painted. Correct, legible identification had been posted on the 50 barrel tank. Rob presented a copy of his owner distribution statement that shows 24 barrels of crude oil shipped from this well on 10/18/16. The compliance notice for idle well is resolved. |
