0774631082 | 2019-03-15 | Exempt Well Pre Transfer | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I met the pumper Mark Fluharty at the well site, so he could unlock the gate. Mark was also there to start the pumping unit. The well is produced with a natural gas-powered pumping unit. All the components were in working order and the lines were all connected. The pumping unit was in operation during my inspection, and I did not find any leaks from the wellhead or production equipment. The equipment consisted of one 100-barrel steel tank and one horizontal separator in an earthen dike. The tank valve was equipped with a bull plug and proper identification was posted on the tank. There was a new drip, valves and buried domestic gas line ran from the separator to a garage/building on the property. I spoke to Mr. Hunter to ask about the well and the new gas line. He told me that they just recently put the line in to provide gas to their building. He also told me that they were starting construction on a new build home in the next two to three weeks. Mr. Hunter said that they will be running gas to the new home in addition to the building. There was a water well rig at the build site for the new home. It was greater than 200 feet from the wellhead. I also went over the 200-foot horizontal distance requirement with Mr. Hunter. He was already aware and said that the new home will meet the requirements. The garage/building was 140 feet from the wellhead. There were also two homes on the neighboring properties that were both greater than 200 feet from the wellhead. This well meets the following criteria under ORC 1509.01(X)(1) The Hunter Keystone Preservation Trust is the owner of the surface estate of the tract on which the well is located; (2) The well is used primarily to provide gas for the owners domestic use; (3) The well is located more than two hundred feet horizontal distance from any inhabited private dwelling house other than an inhabited private dwelling house located on the tract on which the well is located; (4) The well is located |
1513178804 | 2017-12-13 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I found that the well was equipped with a natural gas powered pumping unit. The engine, drive belts and fuel line were intact, The flow lines were connected at the wellhead and the valves were open. The production equipment consisted of one 100 barrel steel tank and one horizontal separator in an earthen dike. Correct, legible identification was posted and there were no leaks or spills. |
