0364530585 2014-01-31 Orphan No Violations An inspection of this well was conducted with Mr. Chris Grimm, Coshocton County Oil & Gas Inspector. This inspection revealed no observed discharge of fluids or detection of natural gas from the well.
0613800047 2013-01-16 Orphan No Violations I received notification of a complaint call from landowner Roger Patterson in regards to open well casing discovered in his agricultural field. On the day of my inspection I found approximately 1 foot of exposed 8 inch casing protruding from the soil and capped 4.5 inch casing extending another 6 to 8 inches from the top. The top of the 8 inch casing was open and there was fluid observed approximately 2 feet down. I did not detect the odor of natural gas when I was near the casing. I tested the inside of the casing with a PHD6 hand-held gas detector, equipped with sampling probe. The gas detectors monitor showed a CH4 level of 15%, which did not trigger an audible alarm. The actual GPS point of the casing was 71 feet northeast of the historical coordinates found in ODNR records. I recommend that this well be placed in the Idle& Orphan Well Program.
1366892495 2013-04-08 Orphan No Violations An inspection of this well revealed 8.25 diameter casing approx 1 above ground and 4.5 diameter casing resting on a steel plate below the collar and a threaded plug on top. The 8.25 casing contained a 1/2 hole on the bottom side just above ground level. The fluid level on the backside of 4.5 casing was observed 2 down with a brief show of Ch4= .05 on a gas meter equipped with a sampling probe. The well was situated on a property designated as agricultural field, and within approx 50 from a stream. There were no overhead obstructions or water wells located within 200. The property contained sections of steel and plastic line located within a wooded area and near the stream. The landowner, Mr. Roger Patterson stated that he would be willing to complete the final restoration once the wells have been plugged. Mr. Patterson was excavating the property with his equipment at time of inspection.
