0794121225 2019-05-16 Production Wells Violations Noted On this day, I am conducting an inspection in response to Complaint #6161. On 3/01/2019 I conducted an inspection of a 1-inch diameter plastic sales line that crosses Mr. Glen Stephens property, which is allegedly owned by Mr. Jeff Miley of Miley Gas Company. Mr. Stephens notified me that a slip had occurred on his property, and the plastic sales line was incorporated with the slip, putting tension on the line. The line had not been compromised at that date, but multiple attempts to contact Mr. Miley had been made with no success, and no means to leave a voicemail. On 5/15/2019, I received another call from Mr. Glen Stephens, stating that the sales line has now broken. He stated that gas could be smelled around the area of the break, but no gas was flowing under pressure. Multiple pictures of the broken line were taken. The said well associated with the gas line is located on an adjacent property. The well is equipped with 2-inch diameter tubing, standing approximately 4 feet above ground. It is unclear if the production valve is open or closed. There is a domestic sales meter and drip tank located near the well. Thick vegetation surrounds the well and does not show signs of recent activity. There is no identification at the wellhead associated with the current owner. Production records are current through 2018, but zero (0) has been reported from 2016-2018. It will be noted that I spoke with nearby landowner Willard Yommer and his daughter, during the inspection, and they stated that they do not receive domestic gas from the well. I spoke with Mr. Jeff Miley on 5/16/2019 to inform him of the issue. He stated that he previously had legal proceedings with Mr. Stephens in regard to permit number 2-0345 and did not feel comfortable with entering his property. Additionally, the well is located on Kurtz property, and Mr. Miley stated that he was reluctant about entering that property as well.
