0855053925 2003-04-21 Production Wells No Violations CASE 03-005 resolved. The drip spill has been remediated and the tank has been replaced. No violations at this time.
1153618427 2003-04-01 Production Wells Violations Noted CASE 03-005 The Uniontown office received a call from David Jones, the landowner at 5666 Wilkes Road in Atwater Township, Portage County (330-947-3727). The complaint concerned a drip tank on the northwest corner of his property that was the recurring source of oil that had impacted the surrounding area. The one inch pipe draining into the fiberglass drip tank points straight down. When the fluid level reaches a certain level, the pressure forces the fluid out of the top of the drip tank. A small area (less than 24) around and several tree branches above the drip tank, have been impacted by petroleum. I contacted Mark Smith (330-808-0716) with PEP and requested that the impacted soil be removed and that the drip be redesigned so that any spray would be contained within the tank. I left a message on the Jones answering machine.
1795543975 2005-08-11 Production Wells No Violations CASE 05-022 The Uniontown office received a call from David Jones at 5666 Wilkes Road in Atwater Township (330-562-9111) reporting an oil spill at the PEP meter run next to his property on Wilkes Road. On 8/11 I inspected the site and found what appeared to be condensate spray affecting the lower three feet of two nearby arborvitae bushes and the nearby grass. The source was either the Dominion East Ohio choke or the PEP portion of the meter run. The condensate did not appear to pose a threat to the health of the vegetation and therefore a violation will not be written at this time. The site will be inspected again in the next several weeks to measure the impact on the plants.
1931589805 2018-05-09 Production Wells No Violations Status check inspection of this Rose Run Sandstone well. My inspection found the wellhead equipped with 2.375 tubing and rods and a natural gas powered pumping unit. The tubing valve is currently closed and the 4.5 production casing valve is open. This well produces to a diked tank battery on location through a line heater north of the tank battery. The battery contains one (1) 210 barrel tank and a horizontal separator. The chart at the separator indicates a differential production pressure of 120psi. The required ID is posted at the wellhead and at the tank battery. No violations.
