0004277512 2006-06-20 Preliminary Restoration No Violations Preliminary Restoration is approved.
0628964842 2006-03-02 Production Wells No Violations The well is now in production but the fence has not been installed around either the wellhead or the tank battery as required. I contaced Bill Kinney who told me that he was meeting with representatives of Barrington on Monday March 6, to decide on the type of fence and screening.
0715898269 2006-04-05 Production Wells Violations Noted Status check inspection found that the well was in production but the required fencing was not installed and the well identification had not been posted. Additional grading and seeding is also required before the preliminary restoration is approved. Restoration will be due by the middle of August. I called Bill Kinney and told him to shut the well in until the violations have been corrected.
1134401206 2005-12-05 Production Wells No Violations The drilling pits have been solidified and the site has been rough graded. The tank battery has been set but the flowline and salesline have not been installed.
1334675144 2012-04-16 UrbanProduction Wells Violations Noted On 4/16/2012, I investigated an oil leak at the Barrington Golf Course in Aurora for DNR Inspector Bob Worstall. Alan Lorinchack, from Summit Petroleum, and Moore Well Service were on location. My investigation found a mixture of water and oil leaking into a 4 diameter by 2.5 deep hole from an abandoned 2 sprinkler line, which was approximately 60 southeast of the pumping unit. The contaminated soil from the hole had been placed into the bed of a dump truck. I observed approximately 4 gallons of water and oil at the bottom of the hole. In addition to the soil removed, Moore Well Service had removed contaminated sod covering an approximate 4 wide by 12 long area. The source of the oil leak was traced to the well head, using pipe line locating equipment. Summit Petroleums production manager, Bill Kencht, arrived to assist with locating the source of the leak. Moore Well Service discovered a pin hole leak on the top of the yellow coated flow line. They cleaned this section of the flow line, removed the coating, and installed a repair clamp. Summit cut and cleaned the sprikler pipe and then installed a 2 cap. The flow line was pressured up to 120 pounds per square inch (psi) to make sure the clamp held tight. A representative from the Aurora Fire Department arrived to check on the progress of the leak. Moore Well Service removed all containated soil/sod and disposed of this material at Petrocell Landfill in Seville. I was told by Summit that new top soil and seed would be brought in by 4/17/2012. I will perform a follow-up inspection of the final clean up by 4/18/2012.
1334764078 2012-04-18 UrbanProduction Wells No Violations On 4/18/2012, I completed a follow-up inspection of the Barrington Golf Course for DNR Inspector Bob Worstall. My inspections found the hole filled with clean top soil. The area with the removed sod was covered with clean top soil and the entire area was graded and seeded. Inspection passed.
1965277225 2005-11-04 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations Capstar finished drilling the well on fluid after encountering sour gas at 3500 on 11/02/2005. Pits are lined and in good condition.
2112375160 2006-04-25 Production Wells Violations Noted The ID has been posted. However, the company set a 6 fence when the rules require an 8 fence with only 3 of the tank exposed above the fence. The charcoal canister, lightning arrestor and low pressure relief valve have not been set. The violation is not corrected.
