1701797957 | 2016-04-04 | Orphan | No Violations | Performed an inspection of this well in response to a request from DOGRM Permitting Section. Upon inspection, it was observed that the well is capable of producing domestic gas, but is shut off before the domestic gas meter. The well consists of 4.5 production casing with a 4-2 swedge on top of the well head. Theres a slight gas leak around the threads of a 2 nipple on the well head. There is a 2 steel line with a ball valve off of the well head which leads to a domestic gas meter, then to the Brown residence. I spoke with Mr. Mark Brown, whose brother owns the land. Mr. Brown stated that the well has not been used for many years and that his brother has paperwork documenting the abandonment of the well. Mr. Brown gave me his brothers contact information. The well may be a candidate for the Orphan Well Program. Photos were taken. |
1820400972 | 2006-08-15 | Production Wells | No Violations | Inspection this day found casing well with valves open, tank very near by in field of corn. No IDs, no dike, well has long time been abandoned. John Brown, landowner, says he doesnt want well, line is shut off up at house at regulator, and not using them. He will give no one else a lease to produce them. Explained the I/O well program and that it would probably be years until the State plugged. I am told Mr. Brown is sick - taking very strong chemotherapy and has affected he memory. |
