Mr Sanders said original owner of well Kenneth Ransbottom is deceased. There is tank full of oil at well. He could not sell oil since he is not registered owner, so nothing has been done with well. ODNR records show well was drilled in May 1984. Data lists both Kenneth Randbottom and LOR-SAN Oil Co as operators. On 7/25/1997 well was transferred from LOR-SAN to Rockwell Oil Co. Mr. Sanders claims well lease only allowed well to be transferred back to landowner. Spoke to Terry Rockiki of Rockwell Oil by phone. He does not recall details of well issue since this occurred years ago. Mr. Sanders will not allow Rockwell to access well or property. Will arrange site visit with Mr. Sanders to check well when snow cover melts. |
