The release occurred entirely within containment, therefore no soil or water impacts resulted. The material was removed from containment via a vacuum and in situ testing was conducted to confirm remediation. All associated equipment was replaced and/or repaired. The matter has been determined to be In Compliance with Policy (ICP). No violations are being cited at this time.
2479196	Primary Facility	2016-04-21	Incident- Response to Accident or Event	No Violations Noted	An estimated 200 gallons of brine was released from a broken site tube on a water truck leaving the Patton Well Site in Franklin Township, Greene County. The release impacted part of the access road between Throckmorton Run and the gate, as well as a few hundred feet of asphalt pavement on Hill School House Road and several areas of compacted gravel berm along the road. Notifications were made, personnel mobilized and the impacted areas remediated. The failure to contain the brine release is a violation of Title 25 Pa. Code § 91.34(a). The impact to soils resulting from the release of brine is a violation of the Clean Streams Law 35 P.S. § 691.401.

The inspection was performed to review remediation work completed in association with an April 21, 2016 brine release in which approximately 200 gallons of brine was released and had impacted the ground surface.
