Reviewed ES Plan. Well staked and approximately 147¿ from closest point of intermittent stream (UNT to Conemaugh River). Operator should implement and maintain all bmps to ensure protection of the stream and associated lands. It was also noted in plan that operator had plans to encapsulate drill cuttings, but under 78.62(a)(7) in order to encapsulate the pit must be >200ft from a stream, body of water, or wetland. An alternate method of disposal is recommended, but in order to encapsulate pit must be >200ft away from closest point of stream. Operator is also investigating the solidification process. Possible relocation of access road was also discussed in order to limit the amount of disturbance and to relocate the access road further from stream; operator must first discuss with surface owner and then notify dept of final decision.
