2761553 Primary Facility 2018-08-07 Complaint Inspection Violation(s) Noted This inspection was performed in response to a report made by a Range Resources representative, to the Department, of a brine spill in Eldred Township, Warren County.

Graham, R. #1 (37-123-40225) Alan Wolf with Range Resources contacted me at approximately 14:00 on August 06, 2018 to report a brine spill. It was reported that brine had leaked from a medium sized poly tank, into an earthen containment and then migrated out of containment via an open fresh water drain.

I met Alan Wolf, at the spill site at 12:00 on August 07, 2018. The spill had occurred as was stated the day before. Brine water leaked from a small hole at the base of a storage tank and into an earthen containment. The brine then traveled out of the contained area down a small bank and settled on a level area below. The poly tank had already been removed. Most of the impacted material had been excavated. 2777303 Primary Facility 2018-09-18 Compliance Evaluation No Violations Noted Graham, R. #1 (37-123-40225): This inspection was conducted to verify remedial action taken by Range Resources Appalachia LLC., for the brine tank discharge at this location, previously reported on August 07, 2018. Reference inspection ID #: 2761553.

All excavated material has been removed. The impacted area has been back filled and graded. A new poly tank has been placed with-in a freshly constructed earthen diking. Seed and straw has been broadcast on the surface of the impacted areas. Grass has begun to grow in all areas were seed appears to have been added. A receipt of disposal has been received by the Department for the material that was removed from the location.
