| The Division received a complaint alleging strong odor from this well, which is located across the street from residence at 12701 Centerburg Rd (CR 48).  The complainant states that smell of methane was astounding this morning caused headache and was smelled inside garage and house.  She has smelled odor in the past from this well, but felt that it was most strongest this morning.  An inspection revealed well equipped with a pumping unit and valves open.  The casing gas was routed to a electronic diaphragm.  An installed gauge showed 85 psi.  A 2" steel line transfers gas to a flare measuring approx 12" diameter casing with a height of approx 10'.  The setting for this diaphragm show "On Time" 5 minutes and "Off Time" 20 minutes.  20 psi was observed on gauge after regulator and connection into 1" plastic line.  This line is also routed to the flare.  A third gauge on casing side but located on opposite side showed 300 psi.  No gas sales from this well.  The wind blew to SW during inspection. Note: rainfall event today.  Odor was smelled but no detection with meter.  Areas checked were the well location, edge of Centerburg Rd at 12701 residence, flare and tank battery locations.  Charcoal filtration installed on 200 bbl oil tank.  Fumes from the 100 bbl saltwater tank are transferred to 200 bbl tank via 2" steel line routed from top of tank.  Flare not lit at time of inspection.  No violations were noted.  The well location contains a cyclone fence with 3 installed trees.  A GPS reading was obtained for well and tank battery location.

Mr. Davis said that the well is emitting a bad odor and that the site is covered with water and that mud is being drug out on to the road. He is concerned that the mud is contaminated. He also is concerned that the agricultural crop was contaminated when the well was drilled. Because of the dust that blew out on to it.
