1452089110 2016-01-20 Orphan No Violations I received a call from PUCO inspector Mike Purcell. Mike was performing Columbia gas pipeline inspections when found what he thought was a abandon well. I met Mike on site and found a 8 casing that was orange peeled. No other casing were visible. I believe this is driven conductor casing. Lancaster Municipal Gas obtained a reading form the well. The fluid is at the surface. 8% gas and 315 PPM of CO were shown. The well is approx. 500 from Lancaster High School and approx. 200 to the closest house. I met with landowner Dane Swinehart. Dane stated he did not want the well plugged. I went to the Fairfield County Courthouse to determine if the well had been assigned to Dane Swinehart. Records indicate the well was not assigned and should be conspired a orphan well.
