2103290068 2016-11-18 Orphan No Violations Orphan well status inspection: Upon inspection, it is observed that this well is idle and incapable of production. The well consists of 8.5 inside diameter surface casing and 2.375 diameter production tubing. The production tubing is likely set on a packer. The production tubing has a reducing swage to a 2 diameter tee, gate valve, and pipe nipples. The pipe nipples are rusted through and are unusable. The surface casing is also heavily rusted and has holes in it above ground level. The casing-tubing annulus is open to the atmosphere and the fluid level is 5 downhole and steadily bubbling gas to the surface. There are no flow lines, tanks, or other production equipment associated with the well. There is a small depression (10 x 10) directly beside the well which is saturated with freshwater. This area is currently experiencing a drought and all surrounding areas are very dry, indicating the wet area may be a result of the well flowing fluid from it. The well location is a flat open pasture field and is 300 south of Bulaville Pike (County Road 3). The well is 100 north of Campaign Creek. The property the well sits on is owned by Don Mink, however a neighbor states that the land is/will be leased or sold to Jonathan VanMeter. No tree cutting or vegetation clearing is needed to plug the well. There are no overhead utility lines near the well location. The Site Evaluation Matrix score for the well is 195. Photos were taken.
